The topic of agentic AI and enterprise software is becoming very popular after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang spoke about it in an interview with CNBC. Many investors are worried that artificial intelligence (AI) could destroy traditional software companies. But Jensen Huang says this fear is wrong.
He explained that agentic AI will not replace enterprise software. Instead, AI will use existing software tools to complete tasks faster and better. According to him, AI is a helper, not a replacement.
Nvidia Reports Strong Earnings Growth
Nvidia recently announced another strong financial quarter. The company reported revenue of $68.13 billion in the fourth quarter. This is a huge 73% increase compared to last year. It also crossed market expectations of $66.21 billion.
For the next quarter, Nvidia expects revenue of about $78 billion, which is higher than analysts’ predictions of $72.6 billion. After this news, Nvidia’s stock price increased in extended trading.
This strong performance shows that global demand for AI technology is still growing very fast.
Jensen Huang: AI Will Support Software Companies
Jensen Huang said that many people think AI agents will “eat” or destroy software companies. But he clearly said, “The markets got it wrong.”
He explained that AI agents will act like smart users of software tools. For example, tools like internet browsers and Microsoft Excel are still important. AI systems will use these tools to complete tasks, not remove them.
AI Will Work With Enterprise Platforms
Huang also mentioned that AI systems will depend on enterprise software platforms from companies like:
- Cadence
- Synopsys
- ServiceNow
- SAP
These companies provide structured systems that businesses use every day. AI agents will connect with these platforms to improve productivity and automation.
Enterprise Software Is Still Important
Even though AI can create and understand information very fast, companies still need proper systems to stay organized. Businesses use enterprise software to manage their data, daily tasks, and overall work processes.
Jensen Huang believes that software companies are actually in a strong and safe position. He says they can create their own AI tools and make their services even better.
In simple words, agentic AI and enterprise software will work together, not fight against each other. AI will help software become smarter and more powerful instead of replacing it.
