Netflix has officially announced Berlin Season 2, the most popular Money Heist spin off series. Fans can now look forward to the new season as Netflix has revealed the release date, teaser trailer, story details, and cast.
Berlin Season 2 Release Date and Teaser
According to Netflix, Berlin Season 2 is titled “Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine” and will release on May 15, 2026. The streaming platform shared the first teaser trailer on social media and described it as the “most artistic heist in history.”
The teaser gives a glimpse of a new mission, more drama, and Berlin’s dangerous side.

New Location in Berlin Season 2
While the first season was set in Paris, Berlin Season 2 moves the story to southern Spain, mainly in Seville. Netflix shared the official title, trailer, and images after production updates throughout 2025. Filming for the new season started in January 2026.
The second season will have eight episodes.
Berlin Season 2 Story and Plot
In Berlin Season 2, Berlin and Damián bring the gang together for a big art heist involving the famous painting “The Lady with an Ermine.” However, this robbery is only a cover.
Their real target is the Duke of Málaga and his wife, who try to blackmail Berlin. This situation brings out Berlin’s darker side and his desire for revenge, making the heist more dangerous and emotional also.

About the Berlin Series
Pedro Alonso first played Berlin in Money Heist in 2017. Due to the character’s popularity, Netflix created a prequel series focused on his life before the original heist. The first season of Berlin was released on December 29, 2023.
With a new city, powerful enemies, and a revenge-driven story, Berlin Season 2 is expected to be one of Netflix’s biggest shows in 2026.
