How to Link an Already Existing Birth Certificate with Aadhaar
If the child is older or you already have both documents you can still complete the process easily:
- Visit the Civil Registration System (CRS) website.
- Create an account using the General Public Sign Up option.
- Log in and open the Birth Registration section.
- Choose the Aadhaar Link option.
- Fill birth registration number, Aadhaar number, and the OTP received on your mobile.
If the details match the documents are instantly linked. If there are errors in the birth certificate they must be corrected first. In some states this service is also available at UIDAI Aadhaar centers.
