Compared to the September quarter, BSE’s profit also grew by 12%, up from ₹538 crore.

BSE Revenue Rises 62% Year-on-Year

BSE’s total revenue increased 62% year-on-year to ₹1,244 crore in the December quarter. The main reason for this growth was higher transaction charges, which rose sharply to ₹952 crore. In the same quarter last year, transaction charges were ₹511 crore, while in the September quarter they stood at ₹794 crore.

Other Business Segments Show Steady Growth

Revenue from services provided to corporate clients increased to ₹156 crore, compared to ₹150 crore last year and ₹138 crore in the previous quarter.

However, treasury income from clearing and settlement declined slightly to ₹42.9 crore, from ₹48 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Operating EBITDA Improves Sharply

BSE’s operating EBITDA (including Core SGF) stood at ₹732 crore in the December quarter. This is much higher than ₹235 crore in the same quarter last year and ₹680 crore in the previous quarter.
