PM Awas Yojana Big Update: Door-to-Door Verification Starts, Ineligible Names to Be Removed

The physical verification under PM Awas Yojana Gramin has started in the Dehri block through Awas Plus-2024. Special teams from the district administration will go door-to-door in every panchayat to check whether the surveyed families are eligible for the scheme.

During the verification, officials will check important details such as documents, current house condition, family income, and other eligibility rules. Only families who meet all conditions of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) will get the benefit.

Ineligible Families Will Not Get PM Awas Yojana Benefit

Block Development Officer Ajit Kumar said the verification will be done honestly and as per government rules. Families found ineligible will be removed from the list and will not receive any benefit. After removing such names, a new waiting list of eligible families will be prepared under PM Awas Yojana Gramin.

Survey Completed in All Panchayats

This year, a large survey was conducted in all 13 panchayats of the Dehri block. Survey teams visited houses and collected information, while many people also filled in their details using a mobile app. As per records, 6,850 families were surveyed by officials and 2,548 families completed self-surveys through the app.

All this data has been uploaded on the Awas Plus App 2024. Now, physical verification is being done to remove wrong or ineligible entries.

Three-Level Verification for Transparency

To keep the process fair, verification is being done at three levels. At the panchayat level, officials will visit homes and check details. The staff who conducted the survey will not do verification in the same area.

Awas Plus 2024

After this, reports will be sent to the block office, where 10 percent of the data will be checked again by the block team. At the district level, a committee led by the District Development Commissioner will randomly verify 2 percent of the reports. This system ensures transparency in PM Awas Yojana.

First Survey After Six Years

This is the first time in nearly six years that a new survey has been conducted to include families left out earlier. The last survey under PM Awas Yojana Gramin was done in 2018-19. The new Awas Plus-2024 survey will help more deserving rural families get housing benefits.
