Funky movie review: Director KV Anudeep, who earlier made Jathi Ratnalu, is back with a new film titled Funky. The movie stars Vishwak Sen and Kayadu Lohar in lead roles. This time, the director tries to show the inside world of the Telugu film industry with comedy and romance. But does it work? Let’s find out in this easy and simple Funky movie review.

Funky Movie Review: Meta Love Story Inside Tollywood

The story is about Komal (Vishwak Sen), a new film director who is full of energy but creates problems on set. His movie budget keeps increasing, which makes producer Sudarshan (played by Naresh) very worried.

Sudarshan’s daughter Chitra (Kayadu Lohar) steps in to control the situation. At first, Komal and Chitra argue a lot. Later, they slowly fall in love. The story is loosely inspired by real-life film personalities like Nag Ashwin and Priyanka Dutt, which adds a fun touch.

Comedy and Film Industry Backdrop

The movie shows many things about how the film industry works—like pre-release events, shooting problems, and producer pressure. There are also fun cameo appearances by popular names like Dil Raju and Harish Shankar.

One funny scene shows a financer who is desperate to meet Jr NTR at an event. These scenes may make industry people laugh, but common audiences may not connect much.

What Works in the Film?

What Doesn’t Work?

After the failure of Prince, expectations were high from KV Anudeep. Sadly, Funky does not fully entertain like his earlier film Jathi Ratnalu.

Final: Funky Movie Review

In this Funky movie review, the film has a good idea but weak execution. It tries to mix romance, comedy, and industry satire but fails to create a strong impact.

If you enjoy light comedy and behind the scenes film stories, you may watch it once. But don’t expect anything very new or very exciting from this movie.
