Apple has introduced AirTag 2, the new version of its tracking device, in India. The company says the new AirTag offers a longer tracking range, louder sound alerts, and improved support with the Find My network. Even with these upgrades, Apple has kept the price the same as before.
AirTag 2 Price in India
The AirTag 2 price in India starts at Rs 3,790 for one unit. A pack of four AirTags is available for Rs 12,900. Apple confirmed that there is no price increase compared to the previous model.
What Is New in AirTag 2?
The AirTag 2 comes with Apple’s second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, which is also used in the latest iPhones and Apple Watches. This new chip improves precision tracking and increases the finding range by up to 50 percents.
Users can locate their lost items using on-screen directions, vibration alerts, and sound, making tracking easier and faster.
Apple Watch Support Added
For the first time, Apple Watch users can search for AirTag 2 directly from their wrist. This feature works on Apple Watch Series 9, Ultra 2, and newer models, giving users more convenience while tracking items.
Louder Speaker for Easy Finding
Apple has upgraded the speaker inside AirTag 2, making it about 50 percents louder than the older version. The louder sound helps users hear the AirTag from a longer distance, even in noisy places.
Better Find My Network and Location Sharing
If an AirTag 2 is out of Bluetooth range, it can still be located using Apple’s Find My network. A new feature also allows users to share the live location of an item with trusted people or airlines. This is helpful for finding lost or delayed luggage.
The shared location can be stopped anytime and will end automatically after seven days.
Same Design, Works With Old Accessories
Apple has kept the same design for AirTag 2, so all existing accessories like keychains and holders will continue to works without any issue.
