Budget 2026 Update: PM Kisan Amount May Increase to ₹10,000

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana May Get Higher Amount in Budget 2026

At present, farmers get ₹6,000 per year under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. This amount is given in three instalments of ₹2,000 each. Now it is expected that in Budget 2026, the government may increase this amount to ₹10,000 per year. However their no official announcement has been made yet.

Four Instalments of PM Kisan Amount Likely

If the government increases the PM Kisan amount in the Union Budget 2026, farmers may get the money in four instalments instead of three making payments more frequent and helpful. Each instalment could be ₹2,500, and the money may be credited every three months. This will help farmers manage farming expenses more easily.

PM Kisan Instalment Increase: What Will Change

With this change, farmers will get ₹4,000 more every year. Currently farmers receive ₹6,000 annually but after the increase the total benefit may become ₹10,000 annually. This step can provide strong financial support to farmers.

PM Kisan Yojana: Instalments Released So Far

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was started by the central government in 2019. Under this scheme, farmers receive ₹2,000 in each instalment. So far, 21 instalments have been given. The 21st instalment was deposited into farmers’ bank accounts on November 19, 2025.

PM Kisan 22nd Instalment Update

Farmers are now waiting for the PM Kisan 22nd instalment which is expected to be released before Holi. If the Budget 2026 announcement includes an increased amount farmers may receive ₹2,500 in the next instalment.

Important Rules to Get PM Kisan Instalment

Only those farmers will get the PM Kisan instalment who have completed all required steps such as e-KYC, Aadhaar linking, and land verification. If any of these are pending, the instalment may be stopped.

Purpose of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

The main aim of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is to help farmers buy seeds, fertilisers, and other farming needs. This scheme supports farmers financially and helps increase agricultural production.
