If you want to save money safely and get good returns the Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) is a great choice. This is a Post Office savings scheme started by the Government of India. Under this scheme your money doubles in 115 months (about 9 years and 7 months) with an interest rate of 7.5% per year.

You can start investing with just ₹1,000, and there is no limit on how much you can invest. Because it is a government-backed scheme, your money is 100% safe and risk-free.

The aim of Kisan Vikas Patra is to help people save money for the long term without taking any risk. You can open a KVP account in your own name, jointly with others, or for a minor. You can open it at any Post Office or public sector bank.

You can also withdraw your money early if needed. The KVP certificate can be used as security for a loan, which makes it even more useful.
