RBI Rule: How to Get New ₹10, ₹20, and ₹50 Notes Without Paying Extra!

The wedding season has started, and the demand for new currency notes is rising everywhere. Many people like to buy bundles of fresh ₹10, ₹20, and ₹50 notes for wedding gifts and garlands. Some shopkeepers charge extra for these new notes — but do you know you can get them for free from the bank?

Yes! You can easily get bundles of new notes directly from your bank without paying any extra money. During wedding season banks often – provide new notes for customers. All you need to do is visit your nearest bank branch & ask for them.

How to Get New Notes from the Bank

If you want new notes for a wedding or any other event, simply go to your bank counter. You don’t need any special recommendation or reference. According to Archana Pandey, an SBI employee, anyone can request new ₹10, ₹20, or ₹50 notes, and there are no extra charges for them.

Sometimes banks may temporarily run out of new notes. In that case, you can book your bundle in advance. You can withdraw the amount either in cash or through a cheque.

Important RBI Information

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has clarified that new currency is supplied through special bank branches known as “currency chests.” These branches handle the distribution of fresh notes to other banks.

So, if your local branch doesn’t have new notes, you can ask them to arrange or reserve them from a currency chest branch. This way, you can get the new ₹10, ₹20 or ₹50 notes easily and without any extra charge perfect for your wedding celebrations or gifting!
