How to Get New Notes from the Bank
If you want new notes for a wedding or any other event, simply go to your bank counter. You don’t need any special recommendation or reference. According to Archana Pandey, an SBI employee, anyone can request new ₹10, ₹20, or ₹50 notes, and there are no extra charges for them.
Sometimes banks may temporarily run out of new notes. In that case, you can book your bundle in advance. You can withdraw the amount either in cash or through a cheque.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has clarified that new currency is supplied through special bank branches known as “currency chests.” These branches handle the distribution of fresh notes to other banks.
