PM Kisan Yojana: 21st Installment May Get Delayed Due to Simple Mistakes

The PM Kisan Yojana is a major welfare scheme started by the Government of India to provide financial support to farmers. Under this scheme eligible farmers get ₹6,000 every year which is paid in three equal installments directly to their bank accounts. The main goal of this scheme is to help farmers manage their farming and agricultural expenses more easily.

However many farmers face delays in receiving their installments due to small mistakes or incomplete information in their documents.

Why Installments Get Delayed

Farmers’ payments often get delayed if:

  • Aadhaar is not linked with the bank account.
  • There are name or date of birth mismatches between documents.
  • e-KYC is incomplete.
  • The name in land records doesn’t match with the bank account details.

Such small errors can cause the government system to hold or reject the installment.

e-KYC Is Mandatory

To continue receiving benefits, completing e-KYC is now mandatory.

Farmers can do e-KYC in two ways

  1. Online: Visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in and complete e-KYC using the OTP method.
  2. Offline: Visit the nearest CSC (Common Service Center) & complete biometric verification.

The process is quick and takes only a few minutes.

Check Aadhaar and Bank Linking

If your PM Kisan installment hasn’t arrived, first check whether your Aadhaar is linked with your bank account.
If not visit your bank and correct the linking immediately. Also, make sure your bank KYC is completed as incomplete KYC can stop the payment.

Match Land and Bank Details

Sometimes, the name on land records doesn’t match the name in the bank account. This also causes payment delays. To fix this visit your tehsil office or agriculture department, correct the details, and the pending installment will be released soon.
